Cotignac

Very charming provincial village with cliff houses

Cotignac is situated at 4 km of the house; a very vivid provincial village that is well known for its charming atmosphere.

Old houses built into the 200 meter high cliff are looking over the village. A nice place to hike and drink a delicious cup of coffee or a glass of wine under the old plane trees. Various restaurants are scattered around the square.

Daytrips to Lac St. Croix (1/2 hour ride; surfing, sailing, waterbiking, swimming),  Gorges du Verdon (3/4 hour; a beautiful river canyon in which you can walk, and waterbike). Or what about  “le village dans le ciel” Tourtour (1/2 hour, from which you have a stunning view). 

Golf

Do you like to play golf? In half an hour you arrive at the golfcourt of Barbaroux. However, there are many more golfcourts slightly further away. 

Local markets

Not to mention the various provincial markets with their charms. Tuesday is the market day in Cotignac. Be early, as it attracts lots of people.

In an hour drive you will reach the beautiful beaches of St Tropez, Cannes, La Lavandou etc. (however, in the summer the roads to the beaches tend to be very crowded, so it might take some more time).

Rafting, mountain climbing or even skiing in 2 1/2 hours drive
